The world has gone through a financial crisis never seen since the industrial revolution. The last two
years have been painful with millions losing their jobs and homes as the US financial sector lost its
bearings and crashed. But will 2010 be the year when real recovery takes place? Will the so-called
green shoots that are said to have appeared grow to full fruit-bearing trees for the beleaguered financial
industry? The CEO of Wholesale Banking at Standard Chartered Bank, Mr Mike Rees, will attempt to
give his take on the global economic landscape and how Asia and the major regions are faring. He will
make growth projections and give his assessment of recovery and say if this is a West versus East story
of two halves. Get a glimpse of the outlook for some key Asian markets like China, India, Singapore
and Hong Kong. Participate in a question and answer session with Mr. Rees and come to grips with
some of the potential issues and challenges for the banking sector.

Registration and prior payment are necessary for this event. Please register and send in the enclosed
